Counter Strike 2 release date is approaching!
Valve has released a trailer that rebrands CS:GO Source 2, changes maps and features new features.
The game will be released in the summer of 2023 and will be available as a free update for CS:GO. A limited testing period has begun for some CS:GO players.
Counter-Strike 2 will be the biggest technical leap in history and will provide new features and updates for years to come. During the testing period, a subset of features will be evaluated to fix any issues with the game. Valve will make the game available to selected CS:GO players and will be selected based on players' last play time, trust factor, and Steam account status.
Maps have been redesigned with Source 2 and divided into three categories. Revision maps have been completely rebuilt in Source 2 and Overpass is included.
Upgrade maps will retain the geography of the CS:GO map, but will be retouched using Source 2's lighting and physics technology, with Nuke being one of those maps. Classic maps, such as the Touchstone maps, will be used to highlight some visual changes and will remain completely unchanged.
Source 2 tools and rendering features will be available to community mapmakers in Counter-Strike 2. Counter Strike 2 will be available as a free upgrade for CS:GO players and will be officially released for all players in the summer of 2023.
Counter-Strike 2, one of the most played games in history, is on the agenda again with the news of the trailer! The countdown has begun for the game.
